LEXINGTON, Ky. (WDRB) -- Churchill Downs plans to open its instant racing venue, Derby City Gaming, on Sept. 14. The track’s Executive Director of Racing, Mike Ziegler, revealed the opening date during a meeting of the Kentucky Racing Commission at Lexington’s Red Mile harness track. Prior to the grand opening, Ziegler said there will be a series of soft opening events starting Sept. 10.
