Kentucky Downs, through an agreement with its horsemen’s organization, is transferring another $500,000 in purses to Ellis Park’s 2018 meet in addition to the $2.4 million already committed. The $2.9 million contribution will allow Ellis Park to offer a record $230,000 a day in purses, up from $210,000 last year, at its meet running July 1 through Labor Day.
