The 2019 live racing season at Fonner Park got off to a rough start. The weather didn’t cooperate leading up to the racing season or on the first two weekends. But things turned around completely when the calendar turned over to April. The final 13 racing days turned out to be highly successful. Things were so good that Fonner was able to raise the purses three times in April for a total of 37 percent from the start of the season.
