Jockey Geroux hospitalized after Keeneland training incident

Sitting bedside at a nearby hospital, Doug Bredar, agent for jockey Florent Geroux, said Sunday that "we're just waiting to hear some results" of tests after Geroux was thrown from his mount in a morning training incident at Keeneland. Bredar said Geroux was working Air Strike just after 9 a.m. when the Phil D'Amato trainee stumbled past the wire. "Both horse and rider went down hard," Bredar said. "They hit the rail a little bit.” Air Strike, a 4-year-old son of Street Sense who won Santa Anita Park's Triple Bend (G2) earlier this season, survived the ordeal.
