The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission will at a "special meeting" Tuesday discuss a request for change of ownership for Ellis Park, according to a notice issued Monday. Horse Racing Nation partner The Pressbox reported last week that a sale by Ron Geary to a new owner was likely imminent. Geary initially purchased the track in 2006 from Churchill Downs. The Pressbox has learned that Saratoga Casino Holdings, a minority shareholder with the track, is the new buyer. Read more in the full report.
