Legalized sports betting would come to Iowa under a proposal now being considered by the state Legislature. State Rep. Mike Sexton, R- Rockwell City, told a Fort Dodge audience Saturday that a bill regulating sports betting was approved by the House State Government Committee on Thursday. It now awaits action by the full House.
